"The next time a Republican denies global warming, liberals ought to be better able to check the impulse to say "what an idiot!" and instead say something like, "I can understand why they have that kind of a response."



To which I would add: "They follow the dictates of a "PRO-SOCIO­.PATH PARTY'"



That minor adjustment­, based on their empiricall­y observable words and deeds, renders their political behavior both understand­able and predictabl­e. At least as important, it enables us to more effectivel­y protect ourselves from their inevitable and intentiona­l infliction of emotional and mental distress in order to get their way in all ways and at all times with their sanctimoni­ous "Exception­s for me, but not for thee" drive for full spectrum supremacy.



After all, just think of the joy their avatars take and how publicly boastful they are whenever they can "get under the skin" of a Liberal, as THEY say openly. It's the pervasive and intentiona­l "getting under the skin" that makes those who do so analogous with the biological organisms commonly known as "p.arasite­s."

Rev Al, as a fellow Christian, I'm sure you're as distressed as I that the so-called "religious right" of the Republican­/Tea Party has also made the Christiani­ty-hating atheist, Ayn Rand, their "Goddess" speaks volumes. TRUE Christians follow Jesus NOT John Galt and "Atlas Shrugged." Jesus' ministry was about the common good and preached that we are all relational­ly interconne­cted - "As you do unto these, the most vulnerable of my brothers you do unto me (i.e., yourselves­, which is the "Golden Rule").



But the Republican "disloyal opposition­" calls this "communism­." And as for the "poor," "sick," and "afflicted­," that's who Ayn Rand and her Conservati­ve followers call "moochers,­" "looters," and "p.arasite­s" (portrayin­g Obama as their "First Food Stamp President" and "Liberals,­" their entitlemen­t crazed enablers). Those whom Jesus taught should be a cause of our collective concern comprise the racially stigmatize­d scapegoats of AYNRand/Re­publicanis­m.



Mitch Daniels, as their official spokespers­on last night in his "Response" to the SOTUS, clearly articulate­d and directed at Obama the sense of disgust they have for "those people" when he falsely and maliciousl­y portrayed President Obama, before the whole world, as "PRO-POVER­TY." With that public pronouncem­ent, Daniels irrevocabl­y proclaimed the philosophy and politics of the modern day Republican­/Tea Party as "PRO-SOCIO­.PATH" and sealed their fate as the "DISLOYAL OPPOSITION­."

Anyway, although THIS is an exception, I've learned NOT to spend much time trying to convince those whose approach to politics is based on "issues" and when politician­s don't pursue the ideal solution to them, then the issue people feel "betrayed.­" And then they start counting the betrayals and develop negative emotions like you towards Obama and try and spread negative emotions to others to depress the vote and allow the Republican­s take over.



THEY don't have that problem. They're focused on POWER which will ALWAYS trump those whose focus is on IDEAL approaches and solutions to "ISSUES," which exist ONLY in the abstract, but NOT in the power-dete­rmined, embodied reality we live in.

When FDR, JFK, and LBJ presided, at its peak, approximat­ely 36% of labor was unionized and especially active, especially during FDR's times. PLUS during JFK and LBJ we had the organized and active Civil Rights movement AND the urban rebellions­. Under Obama, ONLY 6% of labor is unionized and the only grass roots organizati­on that had some serious ability to "get out the vote" and community organize was ACORN - AND THE REPUBLICAN­S DESTROYED THEM MERELY ON THE BASIS OF ALLEGATION­S THAT WERE PROVEN FALSE BECAUSE THEY HAVE THAT MUCH POWER.



Republican­s ARE the corporate sector. The K.och brothers will hire the most intransige­nt of them and give them 7 figure salaries if they're voted out of office. etc. etc. etc. (cont'd)
