We do have to protect ourselves from these fundamentalists when we challenge their expectations of being treated as our "superiors" and when the engage in supremacist behaviors when they deal with us. They can be dangerous and vindictive. That's why Carlos Casteneda called them "petty tyrants." They definitely see our challenges as an "offense" which takes priority and superior claim to the hurt and suffering they help create in the world or in other people's lives.
