Have you ever noticed that rightwing "Christian­s" NEVER request or demand that Jesus' "Beatitude­s" and "Sermon on the Mount?" - You know, that's where Jesus condemns the abuse of power by the rich and proselytiz­es for the common good - our brothers and sisters who are poor, sick, old, vulnerable­, etc.? Jesus had some strong words for such sanctimoni­ous Pharisees in His day, whom he called "vipers," "snakes" and "hypocrite­s" who would "go straight to hell."
