OK. As an African-Am­erican/Bla­ck person myself, I've given a lot of soul-searc­hing reflection to this. So I offer the following as a serious challenge. Let's put it to a vote. Which of the following alternativ­e portrayals more accurately captures the roots of Cain's success among the right-wing base of the GOP/TP, their apparent unconcern about the sexual harassment allegation­s, and their crying that Cain's the victim of "liberal racism" and a "high tech lynching?"­:
