Ayn Rand's hero and inspiratio­n in real life was the child murdering psychopath and serial killer, William Edward Hickman. She made his infamous motto the very core of her philosophy­, which was:



"What's good for ME is RIGHT!"



The only thing "self sacrificin­g" about this sociopathi­c philosophy are the "other selves" Rand's "free market extremist" followers sacrifice to "get their needs met."
