Juan Williams: Defund NPR

Dear Brother Juan,

I know you found working for NPR uncomfortable since you were one of the only African American men of any stature to ever be hired by them. I know you believed that as a leader of the so-called "liberal biased" media, NPR should have been at the forefront of having more Black men as analysts, hosts, reporters, executive managers, etc. You saw this as very hypocritical of them, and you also saw them as basically taking you for granted as their "token Black guy." In other words, you saw NPR as a "liberal media plantation," so you took liberties to feather your nest over at Fox and rumple their feathers to boot.

But why HAVEN"T you made the issue of NPR's employment record regarding African Americans an issue now? Why not make THAT case while at the same time making the case that NPR should keep its funding while it also commits to increasing its employment of Black men? At least NPR is more likely to cover stories regarding African Americans in a way that is less prejudiced than the mainstream media, like Fox.

Well, it looks like you've given up being an advocate for African Americans as you once were and actually prefer being the "only one." Have you came down with a case of "Fox Fact-free Fever" because their "token pay" is higher and they treat you like a "house slave" rather than the "field slave" you felt at NPR?
