The consensus among economists (not right-wing ideologues
) is that had Obama NOT involved the Government in the auto business, 1 million jobs would have been lost because of all the negative multiplier effects, and plenty of small businesses would have went down the toilet.
In other words, that means that Obama deprived the right-wing ideologues of a powerful talking point (Remember what they ALL said before he did it - that he should just let the auto companies fail etc. and that it would NEVER work). They would have loved to have had another million lost jobs to blame on Obama.
So like our "libertari
an" friend here, they change the subject and/or STILL blame Obama for NOT losing the jobs. That money got paid back!
Their lack of remorse, constant lying and playing the victim themselves
, and portraying mega-corpo
rations and the super rich and powerful as victims of Obama and/or "The Government
" are all indicators of the type of paranoia and sociopathy that Ayn Rand made fashionabl
e and freeing.
