You say, "The only true path to spiritual purity is to remove any associatio
n of spirituali
ty with groups of human."
I believe that any "spiritual
" path that has NO associatio
n and relationsh
ip with other humans is a form of anti-socia
l escapism and that the essence of spirituali
ty is socio-rela
tional and connects. It's also embodied. To talk about "purity" connotes disembodie
d, abstract mental activity, devoid of connection and contact, i.e., the realm of thought where one can convince oneself of anything.
You say, "how can you be...so wrong about Christiani
ty?" I didn't say anything about Christiani
ty, other than how it has been trashed by the "right" - so HOW did you come to that conclusion absent my expressing anything about how I interpret Christiani
ty? You also have NO idea what I'm "inside of" with your condescend
ing put-down - "I guess it's impossible to see something clearly when you're inside it."
What you "see clearly" is your own projection onto me. You made NO effort to ascertain what I believe, so I suggest you keep your projection
s, condescens
ions, and absolutism
s to your self (e.g., "The ONLY true..." And your absolutist assertion that Christ's teaching was -"we can't do it in a group"). No wonder you default to concepts such as "purity" and define "true spirituali
ty" as non-social and human- relational - it allows you to convince yourself that you "see clearly."
