Martin Luther King Day 2012: Remembering His Life, Legacy


We all know that Dr. King fought to make sure that Black people could vote despite the successful efforts of Conservati­ves from preventing them from doing so. “This is just an attempt to allow undocument­­ed workers to vote in our elections. Every American voter or legal resident of our country should have a driver's license or state ID. It's not too much to ask that you present your license or picture identifica­­tion whenever you vote. After all, you have to present your ID when you go to a bar or nightclub, when you purchase tobacco or alcohol and even to drive. So what is so terrible about requiring voters to present a picture ID?”
