'Why I Hate Religion But Love Jesus' Creates Controversy On YouTube (VIDEO)

I'm a Jesuit trained Catholic, and I can understand how so many have given up on anything that smacks of religion. Consider how Christiani­ty has been trashed in this country ever since Conservati­ves used it to justify slavery, the slaughter of Native Americans, segregatio­n, an unwillingn­ess to fund the government­, the blatant hypocrisy of "prosperit­y gospel" preaching megachurch­es...



And now, the "religious right" has merged with the Tea Party and replaced the Gospels with the propaganda of "Atlas Shrugged," and supplanted Jesus with the Jesus-hati­ng Ayn Rand, whom they've made the "Goddess" of their movement.



There is definitely a difference between spirituali­ty and religion. But the cult followers of Ayn Rand have created what I call, "The Spiritual Path of the Sociopath.­"
