Just think about how deceptive "Notmybrotherskeeper" mention of Democrat Robert Byrd is. Byrd was a Conservative and remained one of the most Conservative members of the Democratic Party. Unlike the Republican Party, which purged ALL of its Liberals, the Democratic Party still had Conservatives.
Robert Byrd WAS NEVER A LIBERAL and never described himself as a Liberal! To portray him as a Liberal is to show how much one relies upon the BIG LIE! At least Byrd disavowed those elements of his Conservatism and refused to join with Strom Thurmond and join the Republican Party.
