SOCIETY OF JESUS (JESUITS - S.J.s) to Ayn Rand/Paul Ryan: "IN YOUR FACE"
As a Jesuit trained-Catholic, I couldn't be any prouder of my Jesuits' stance FOR JESUS and AGAINST JOHN GALT!
AYN RAND infamously portrayed FDR, JFK and their policies, as well as "unions" and "government"l as "communist," "socialist," "collectivist," "fascist," etc.
Her paranoid, cartoonish caricatures live on in current CONSERVATIVE DISCOURSE, which uses similar terms (including RYAN'S "hammock dwellers") to demonize ANYTHING, ANY GROUP, and ANYONE opposing their agenda of PRIVATIZING THE PUBLIC SPHERE (e.g., prisons, schools, water, parks, Social Security, Medicare, etc.), which they equate to RAND's/RYAN'S CAPITALIST NIRVANA, where her motto, "WHAT'S GOOD FOR ME IS RIGHT," prevails and each acts in accord with her anti-social view of human nature, i.e., NARCISSISTIC HYPER-RATIONALITY.
That NATURE is synonymous with the most cold-blooded, Nazi SS Aryan Supremacist, or the serial-killing psychopath, William Hickman, whom RAND admired and took her motto. But it damn sure ain't the basis on which to build a Civilized Society that functions optimally in accord with TRUE human nature, which is fundamentally relational and emotional, etc.
It's time to grow out of Rand's adolescent model of "political-economic theology" and get REAL & HUMANE.
